Emma = Basketball

Watching Emma play basketball has been mighty fun the past few weeks.

The Bordens made some cool posters, and they are kind enough to share them.

Look, they had to triple-team Emma to stop her!
P.S. Our girls all wear crazy mis-matched socks to encourage team unity.

Accidentally focused on the ref, but wanted to use this shot anyway because it's cool how she's shoving #6 away.

Did I mention she scored the game-tying goal?

Girls' church basketball is fun because if there's any sort of tripping or elbows thrown everyone's all, "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" and there's way more high-pitched screaming and hugging going on than in boys' ball.

Emma has only played on an organized team once when she was 6 or 7. She's about 1/2 the size of almost every other player (whose ages go all the way up to 18). And we don't have a goal at home to practice on. But guess what? She's a force to be reckoned with. I love her natural athleticism (that's from her dad), confidence, and drive (yeah, those are from Scott too).

Though she be but little, she is fierce.
