Can you believe...200?

Doesn't it seem like really cool bloggers are always giving things away when they reach significant milestones? (100th post, 1 year anniversary, etc) So here we are, my 200th post. Lucky for me I found this fun game over at Natalie's tonight:

This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. BUT, in order for you to leave a comment on my blog, you have to post this on your blog first. (That means that sometime during this year you will send a gift to 3 people as well.) Get it? So, the first 3 people to comment on this post will be the lucky ones.

Please keep in mind I will be needing your patience and make no promises other than you will something before Dec. 31st. (This post has taken me nearly 45 minutes--Afton's a night owl.)

I'm the first!! Does that mean I get a bigger prize? I'll post this on mine, but I'm pretty sure I don't even have 3 people that look at it!

(tried to post earlier from the iphone--not sure if it went thru...)

I don't have a blog but i'm in lori-craft withdrawal--must...have....some...! Is there some other way i can pay it forward? If not, i'll respectfully bow out.

speaking of crafts--lori what does that shirt you made Trey mean? (2+2 = chicken)?

Mom - if you want in, you could just make three things for random people and call it good!

Lisa - if you don't end up with three takers I'll just have to sign up again on yours

Brad - maybe you could introduce this fun to the good folks over on facebook? if not, just do like Mom. And the 2+2=chicken is a Brian Regan bit from his latest standup DVD. I bet it's on youtube, it's funny stuff.

What a great idea Lori! I'm so sad to have missed out on the game.

We missed you at book club last night.

What are you going to make? Are you one of those amazing people that can cut paper straight and everything? Cool!

hey lori, i have a quick question. when you use canvas to make a bag stronger do you wash it first? i looked online and it said dry clean only. that was after i made those bags for jackson and had already washed it. i just thought it would be stronger if i didn't but didn't want it to mess up when washed. sorry, i guess i didn't feel like looking for your email.

I was so excited about your contest that I forgot to say:
CONGRATULATIONS on your 200th post!
Now that's a lot of posting.

Natalie...that's an interseting question. I have never washed canvas or a bag with any canvas in it. But I do always prewash the other fabrics, for some reason it just never occured to me to do the canvas. Any thoughts from the more-crafty-than-me out there?

I GOT IT!! I'll send out 100 (more or less) e-mails and say the first three people who e-mail back to me (after they have posted on their blogs or e-mails) wins the prizes. What do you think? I think that will work. :) So I'm in!
