Kids pray the darndest things

In her bedtime prayers the other night, Lydia entreated for these blessings:

"...that the songs we sing won't come true in real life..."

"...that we'll be safe in all our adventures..."

"...that when we make our escape we'll be safe..."

That's our Lydia. Each one of her "requests" leaves me pondering. I mean really pondering. Hmmmm. Our escape?

PS ~ Love her costume of the day!! Love that girl!

So cute! Some of the things kids say make you really wonder what is flitting through their minds all day. :)

That's funny! I would definitely be wondering what kind of plans she has been making.

That all sounds reasonable to me, after all who wouldn't want to be safe in their escape!

This is so cute- I can relate to the first one because my monkeys use a lot of poop talk in the songs they make up!

Nice to meet you!

So cute!!! You should enter one of them into this little facebook contest about children praying the darndest things. Three winners will receive a free copy of my dad's self-published alphabet prayer book for Christmas. We would love to have you participate.
