All together now...

Just one of the many (many) things I love about our kids. These magnetic letters on our fridge get rearranged regularly. Sometimes sorted by color, sometimes in the proper ABC order, sometimes completely random, but every few days they always come back to this: It's been that way since we got them, as far as I can remember.
At first just "Emma", "Ben" and "Lydia" were united with "Josh" floating off to the side all by himself. After some time like that, the kids had the bright idea to spell out "Joshua" instead so that he could be connected. Then of course Afton joined us, and luckily with a little creative use of the Q and Z she fit right in as well.
I love that they love each other. I want that to stay strong and defining through all their years. I want them to remember as they grow up how important it is to stick together, to support and help each other. They need to know that even if every other kid at school or where ever is coming down on one of them, at least four other people have got their back.
That's probably why one of our favorite go-to scriptures is Mosiah 4:14-15,
And ye will not suffer your children that they go hungry, or naked; neither will ye suffer that they transgress the laws of God, and fight and quarrel one with another, and serve the devil, who is the master of sin, or who is the devil spirit which hath been spoken of by our fathers, he being an enemy to all righteousness. But ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another, and to serve one another.
(Emphasis on the loving and serving each other.)

Hmmm. If you have another one, it looks like you won't have many letters left to choose from for its name:

C, G, H, K, P, R, V, and X.

of course you can link in to a letter--- maybe Josh's "O":

maybe "Chorp" or "Vox"?

Wow! I am so impressed with the creativity of your children, but even more so with the mantra of "togetherness." I love that scripture, too. I think you are one well-connected family--one "serving and loving" each other.
