As promised...Emma = Knitter

All of this school year Emma has been attending a twice-monthly, after-school knitting club. Her first project was this awesome scarf she made for herself (I've requested one of my own for my birthday). I'm so impressed with her. One of these days I need for her to teach me how. I'll trade her for my new-found (via Enrichment night at church) knowledge of crochet. It's addicting. I gave Lydia my first rectangle (as in, it's not really supposed to be anything, it's just the shape that came about when I learned) and called it a scarf too, in hopes that she'll stop snatching Emma's.

Those stitches look great! She's awesome.

Hey, sew a big cute button on one corner of Lydia's "scarf" so she can poke it through some stitches on the other side, and have more of a "collar".

Way cute. Check out

so i'm totally wishing i had a hobby i could do in front of the tv. not b/c i'm a tv addict cause i'm really not but just so i can still be social with brent instead of going into my cave of a sewing room with the loud machine going. i just picture you two sitting so peacefully next to each other and the rest of the fam relaxing and working on your projects.

I'm officially jealous of your craftiness, Lori, and that of your children. Emma is awesome.
