...of blossoms of blue

When I was growing up, every single Mother's Day we delivered breakfast in bed to my mom. We kids and our dad would shuffle into her room early before church carrying a tray laden with toast or eggs and juice or milk, and handmade cards, and usually the comics section of the newspaper. And as we made our way to her side of the bed, we would sing I Often Go Walking. Brad called me the week before Mother's Day this year with an idea. He wanted to give Mom a pillow with some lyrics from that song to Mom and wondered if I'd be willing to make one to be from both of us. No problem. We talked through all the lines, looking for something just right and settled on "Gather Armfuls". I added a few blossoms of blue to make it complete. Happy Mother's Day.

LOVE it. I bet your mom did too.

There is something about that songs and mothers. I am not sure exactly what it is but I think your pillow captures the magic.

You are so talented at those pillows. I think you need to make five more with different primary song lyrics and get them to sell at Deseret Book.

I will gladly give you suggestions.

fun to do

Pray in Faith

Be like Jesus (not sure if the word Jesus should actually be on a pillow)

Give oh Give

Such a nice surprise (with popcorn)

Just saw your post, and have tears in my eyes! The pillow is absolutely the perfect Mother's Day gift. I'm singing that song in my heart right now (and actually outloud ).

Thank YOU (and Brad) for creating such a beautiful memory for me of all those wonderful years in the past when you children would sing to me as you marched in with my breakfast on a tray. Fondest memories ever. "I often go walking in meadows of clover and I gather armfuls of blue............" :) :)

good choice.

did you and B.A. talk about what would be the *worst* line to use? "MEADOW OVER"? "REMIND ME" (who you are again)?

Perhaps it should be mentioned that I tried to pay Lori but she insisted that womb sharing had some benefits. I then reminded Lori that we were not twins but I got the idea. Then she said something I can't repeat on the internet. Job well done Lori. Glad you liked it mom!

Okay, kidding about Lori's comment.

@Joel: "Remind Me" - har!
